The latest project coming out of the SwitchDoc labs is a bit more whimsical that Project Curacao.  This project detects the cat, loads a furry fake mouse in to a launching slot, shoots a solenoid and then launches it in the air by using quickly rotating motors.  Four servo motors, two DC motors, a pi camera, NFC and RFID sensors and an ultrasonic detector all controlled by a Raspberry Pi connected to a control panel built with the RasPiConnect App.

  1. You were obviously drunk or bored when you put so much thought into entertaining a cat. As a Schnauzer owner, a pair of insane male litter mates, I can see the merits of this project. Schnauzers are known for their ratting ability so a rat or squirrel flying out of a launcher would a wonderful diversion for them. Currently they spend the day chasing the pool monster, when it breaches the surface all hell breaks loose.

Project Curacao was so helpful with my engine temperature project I am looking forward to following MouseAir as it develops.

    Thanks Jim
